We stay here because of business and find that the Marriott is like being in any American city. Lovely but all the same. Service is outstanding though and they have an American style bar (Champions) where you can eat American style food and watch American football. The InterContinental is more European but still has no real Viennese character. The advantage is that it has a metro stop across the street and it is next to the very pretty Stadtpark. Both hotels have grossly over priced restaurants, but walk across the street to the park and there's a great little place.
Unique Qualities: Marriott has a decent enough pool and both have good workout facilities.
