Restaurant Name: Museum Tavern
Across the street from the British Museum, this pub is convenient, reasonably priced, and offers hearty, tasty British food - thus giving the lie to the idea that all British food is steamed and nasty. The interior is classy: etched glass; stained glass. Former clientele includes Keynes, Wolfe, Wilde and Marx.
Favorite Dish: Shepherd's Pie - filling, hot and tasty. Lots of onions and veggies with meat and potatoes. Aslo Ploughman's Lunches are in generous portions and delicious.
