London is fun but my daughter lives outside London in the suburbs and I have some favorite villages there: Halstead, Clare, Finchingfield, Lavenham (the Crooked Little Town), Braintree, Thaxsted and Colchester. |
West and South of London Also visited Bath again, Stonehenge and some small towns. Bath is an old Roman city where the baths are still intact, great to visit, and the town is still rather quaint and has good shopping. |
A favorite place is Thaxsted, which has a wonderful old church called St Michael's. The cemetery has graves dating back 600 years. |
