Lovely England

by GinGinCoo - last update: Oct 31, 2005

England

We spent about 5 days in England before joining a European Tour for 3 weeks on December 2002, It was my second time visiting there, (first time was in 1995), but it was Dan's first time. We stayed at one of the Thistle Hotels in London. Which was really convenient because it was about a 2 block walk to the Underground/Tube (subway).

We rode the Tube to get everywhere in London, to get to Victoria Station (where we used the coach to go to Warwick and Stratford-Upon-Avon), Tower of London (where we went to same day we arrived in England, Dan was sooo tired and sleepy but we have to stick to the schedule! I am the vacation Nazi after all LOL), and we used a day pass one time to see several London landmarks such as Westminster Abbey, British Eye, and Piccadilly Circus. Ofcourse it was raining almost everyday and freezing but we didnt mind it. We went to several places outside of London too. We went to Stonehenge and Bath one day and to Warwick and Stratford-Upon-Avon another day. Overall England is a lovely country and most of the people are very helpful. It rained most of the time we were there, and if wasnt raining it was overcast. I rarely saw the sun during our December visit so dont forget to bring an umbrella and very put on layers of clothes. It was freezing most of the time. My first visit during May wasnt like this at all, it was mostly sunny.

Visit my individual Warwick, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Stonehenge and Bath Travel Pages for more pics and info. Cheerio!
