We spent our honeymoon in Acapulco Mexico. We were there during December for a week. It is the perfect time to go there! It was like paradise! Hardly any tourists (which is a good thing but can be bad when all the vendors are bugging you every 5 seconds because you're the only one there!) and the weather is perfect!
We did Acapulco on our own renting a Jeep Wrangler for a week. It wasnt difficult to Navigate but watch out for the Federalis (police) read my tips later!. Over all Acapulco is unforgettable and relaxing. Highly recommended if you really want a vacation.
- Pros:Not too crowded with tourists, great bargains, very relaxing
- Cons:too many vendors
- In a nutshell:Perfect place for a honeymoon :)

they are closed for good now
Early December is not crowded in Acapulco, but Dec 26-Jan6 is the busiest time of the year.
You were very lucky with the police, nice little page with some interesting tips
