The Introduction After growing up in Sydney and establishing my career I gave it all up and moved to London. Ever since I left Sydney I have been keeping a diary of my travels. Every trip I do I keep details and write a long story about my adventures. I have numerous links to my private website where they can all be read, and I have included links where ever possible. www.jasonhare.co.uk |
| Maria moments after I proposed |
The Fiancee Maria, originally from Brazil, is my travelling partner and fiancee. Luckily for me she shares many interests with me and has a serious passion for travel. On the 14th of October near the top of Mount Etna, in Sicily I proposed with a positive response! On the 15th of September 2006 we will marry in Thailand. |
| An America's Cup race action |
The Work Since living in London I have been lucky working freelance in the television industry, which has even taken me to a few different countries for work. But being freelance affords me more time away from work allowing me to travel even more. So far I have worked in: Seoul, Seville, Cape Town, Thessaloniki, Marseille, Valancia, Taipei, Malmo, Munich and Trapani. |
| Temple at Segesta, Sicily |
The Latest Holiday The trips completed in 2006 include: Levi, Finland skiing in February again Valencia, Spain for work on the 32nd America's Cup in May Liege, Belgium for Work Munich, Germany for work on the FIFA World Cup No holidays to mention though, apart from some skiing it is all work. |
The Plans Trips that I have coming up include: Sep 2006 - Wedding Trip including stops in Bangkok, Phuket, Sydney, Fiji, Los Angeles then road to San Fransisco, Kansas City then Chicago. Dec 2006 - Doha Qatar to work on the Asian Games. Feb 2007 - Brazil for Carnaval |
The Wish List I am always interested in meeting new people, whether to travel with or to meet up with around the world. Currently places on my wishlist include: Russia, Norway, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Argentina (more), Brazil (much more) Chile & Mexico |
The Photos When I travel I always take atleast one camera. If travelling light is required then it is my little Canon Ixus V2. Although it only shoots at 2 megapixels this is usually fine as most of my pictures only end up on the net. If I travel to a place I think may offer good photographic opportunites I take my new Canon Digital EOS350 SLR with a Tamron 28-300mm Lens. This takes great photos but is much heavier to carry. All photos seen on my site were taken by me. No images have been taken from any other source with or without permission. |
The Feedback I am slowly getting more pictures and information onto the site. I love to get feedback and find out what people think so please leave me comments or send emails. I am also happy to answer questions. If I have been somewhere you are going, let me know, maybe I can offer advice. |
