Farmacia Bescansa: Old chemistry

One of those old chemistries which are a masterpiece themselves. The oldest in town. Lovely vases tims and other pharmaceutical items, fantastic cealing and old fashnioned tradition. Eventhough you don´t buy anything just have a look inside.

What to buy: Traditional old prefume. Their "eau de toilet". HIEDRA DE SANTIAGO. Moss of Santigo. Fresh nostalgic oudour and wrapping, inexpensive and an ideal gift to take with you. It´s supposed to be the real smell of the city in winter. Moist, moss and wet earth.

What to pay: Not more than 15 euros.

Address: Plaza do Toural 10

Directions: Toural Square is an active place at the other end of Rua do Vilar from the cathedral

Everything - Santiago de Compostela
Casa Mouga: Everything

The place is a tradicional shop which offers the most traditional items of the Galician culture. You´ll be able to find; food, handicraft, music, jewels, pottery and so on.

What to buy: Appart from the tradicional things (also try Amboa at Rua Nova), you´ll find everything you could find in any other european city. We have a big shopping centre (Area Central. Bus 11 from Plaza de Galicia) and a Department Store (El Corte Inglés. Bus number 6 from the same place). Also sweets like (Croquiños, Pedras de Santiago, Tarta de Santiago), and designers clothes which are the most reputed in Spain. All boutiques at new town. Famous designs from Antonio Pernas, Adolfo Domingo, Zara, Roberto Verino, Purificacion Garcia. For Jewels go to "Noroeste" (at Rua Jerusalem). The typical jewels are made with Abazache a black semi precious stone.

What to pay: Not much. Santiago is not an expensive city.
