The Golden Land

by travelagent4thailand - last update: Oct 4, 2002

the first thing that comes to you rmind when you look out the window from your plane is....

' this place seems so untouched and green.'

get out of the plane and humidity greets you instantly (except in the cooler months from oct-jan)....

welcome to myanmar! airport officers wearing 'longyi' - similar to sarongs and flip flops at the airport and practically the whole country.

the people are probably some of the most friendliest people on the planet...ladies smoking cheroot, little kids running around without the least concern for the rest of the world....

rich in heritage and culture...this is truly one of asia's gems.
