Pattaya, located about an 1.5 hrs away from Bangkok is probably one the most action packed city/beach areas of its kind in the S.E. Asia's region.
25 years ago, this place was a small fishing village. Today, Pattaya is a home to a large community of expats and a visitng hole for tourists.
Pattaya, like any other 'electified' beaches like Venice Beach, Miami, and lures serious night life. This eastern coastal town is also known to hosts lots of naval military men, stopping over....
It is known to be a notorious playground for the 'anything goes'....but its images are changing. The community has slowly developed its reptuation and major facelifts have been made to this place....a nicer place for all.
The waters are much cleaner now than before as the mayor has done serious works...only applausable!
Though naughty by nature, i do not feel compelled that a place should remain in its 'stereotyped' category.
Pattaya is a great place for a quick getaway....and much has to be offered to the sober minded travelers, even to some, it's a haven for peace and relaxation....
Many come from far and near, and have never left this place....I, too wonder why, but as the years of visitng this place...
I'm not all surprised...life's fulfillment is not where the fountain is, but it is where one decides to make its own foundation.... |
