Ko Chang Travel Guide: 245 reviews and 553 photos
Koh Chang, as known in thai, literally translated means 'elephant island'.
Koh Chang is the 2nd largest island (next in size to phuket) and was a sanctuary to Chinese Junk boats sailing for trades in Thailand.
Today, much of the junks are not there anymore...but the beauty remains....
Small little towns are scattered along the coastal waterfronts that invite the intriguing minds to check out. Each coastal small towns differ in ambiance and the quality of the sand and waters varies too.
Not the least, it does not dull the mind of the adventurous or the spirits of those looking for sanctuary...
go find out and 'never resists the unfamilar'...
Around Koh Chang, there are almost a dozen different islands that you can hop around to...
Give yourself sometime to this side of the world....
Immerse yourself in the hours of sleep that your body has ever so silently begged for....and hours of sunshine adding that glow to your skin....
Sean Connery, once said 'it is better to have your skin burnt that to have it pale'....go figure
- Pros:A true break from the night / red light districts scenes
- Cons:Inadequate options for deluxe alternatives
- In a nutshell:It all hits you when you wake up on your 2nd day

Ko Chang is a nice island to get a good break from the busy city life :)
If sean connery said that... he never had a serious case of sunburn in his life! Excellent tips and i've a new destination to add to my 'must-see'places..
So poetic! You had me at "Best night activity - making love silhouttes against the moon's reflection and taking the vitamin ZZzzz's." Reality hit when you mentioned 'skeeters! I'm a playground for those critters! ;-) I'll request your expertise very soon!
