From coral reefs to a Portugese Fort

by Rrroel - last update: Oct 13, 2002

The coast of Kenya is a wonderful region, gifted with everything one needs for a relaxing holiday. The old city has a more relaxing and less violent atmosphere than Nairobi; there is a photogenic old port; or you can walk through the small streets. You may not miss the big fort Jesus, built by the Portugese. Nearby are beautiful white beaches, sometimes with spectacular coral reefs, ideal for snorkling or diving. And last but not least, the local cuisine is very refined and a delight!
