Nairobi suffers from a very bad reputation. Nairobbery, after dark you cannot come outside, police and criminals try to be the most violent,... Nevertheless it is a magnificent city, maybe the most cosmopolitan place I have seen sofar. There is an important white community (expats, tourism workers, local 'old colonials'), there are Indians, Japanese tourists and of course Africans in all colours and styles: from proud Maasai to easily remarkable Somalis. Don't be naive, keep your eyes open and enjoy this city! |
