Hobamiso-this is sweet miso, vegetables and sometimes beef, grilled on the leaf of the Ho tree (the tree is used to make geta (clogs))

Mitarashidango-which is a type of round mochi(rice cake) that is skewered and grilled over coals and has a shoyu tare(soy sauce) basted onto it.

Goheimochi-which is a rather large flat mochi(rice cake) that is also grilled over coals but has a miso(soy bean paste) and shoyu tare(soy sauce) basted onto it. Be careful eating this one--VERY HOT(temperature wise!!)

You can't eat here, but you sure can buy to take out. This shop has many Japanese sweets.

Favorite Dish: We tried the Kurikanoko, this dessert has a ball of an(bean paste)and is covered with chestnuts(kuri).
