VIVA BARCA

I love Barcelona...

Harbour
Barcelona is my favourite city in Europe.I was there with my ex-roommate and best firend in september 01.We were gonna stay couple of days and go to Madird but we loved Barcelona alot and instead stay 10 days..Since I study Spanish here in Istanbul, I was hopping to practise my Spanish but understand nothing about their Catalan , but they all seem to understand what I mean while I was trying to speak Spanish..
I was hopping it wouldn't be as crowded as summer time in September but I was wrong. It was packed and we got difficulty with finding hostel.. The hostel we founded was alittle bit dirty and me and my roomate decided not to sleep that night, cause it was our first night in Barcelona and next time we were gonna change the hostel..we had a good first night dirnking Sangria and dancing...
what we have done was first we did 2 days Barcelona city tour which was organized by tourism info , it was a two day hop on-off sightseeing bus..After exploring my dream city , we were being all lazy , spending whole day at beach and drinking , dancing at night..
but of course we were rubbed in Barcelona , there is no way out..When we went to Police Station to report , there was a long queue infront of Police Station , we waited at about 1 hour , the other intersting thing is the police officer was turkish, there we go..it was fun..
At that time they were using pesata , and it was cheap ..I've told it is expensive now because of Euro..
what I realized in Barcelona was ,
1) Most of the shops belong to immigrants like people from Pakistan..
2)Loads of American who is celebratibg thier graduation in Barcelona and Ibiza.... loads of travellers from Arjantin,Brazil and UK for sure..This is the only place that I haven't met any aussie or kiwi..
3)It is dirty , I have seen lots of people pissing to streets..
4)Viva Barca , unfortunately , there was no soccer game when I was there but at that time Rivaldo was famous..but I prefer J.Saviola...
well I had a great time ..hope to be back one day..
p.s I have seen the most handsome guy in my life in Barcelona, of course he was from Barcelona...

Barcelona may have been a strange place for you, from a distant place. I hope someday I can go to my dream's place: New Zealand!
