Mt Cook

Mt. Cook is located in the South Island and south of Christchuch. It's the highest mountain in NZ (3753 m) its Maori name is Aoraki, means Cloud Piercer)

Tasman Glaciers

Nudging one side of Mount Cook is the mighty Tasman Glacier, a 30km giant and one of the longest outside the Himalayas.

Lake Tekapo

On the way to Mt Cook, there is lots of turquoise glacial lakes such as Lake Tekapo.The lake was originally a glacial valley, it is 32 km long, 2000 feet above sea level, and 120 metres deep at its deepest part.
