My stay in Kenya was really a prolonged layover. In my brief time there I learned two things; the crime rate is unimaginable, so take a taxi dont walk and a dinner at "The Carnivore" restaurant is a must.. |
| | tribal dancing As if the staff with their scewers of meat , trays of drinks, and numerous stories are not enough entertainment they bring in locals to play music (mostly drums) and perform tribal dances. |
the food The food is far from gourmet, But is simple and very good. The meats are cooked over a open flame pit. The skewers are taken off and the waiters bring them over and caeve off what you want. The game menu changes daily so I'm not sure a recommendation will do any good. but just incase, the heart beast and zebra are both very good. i thought the crocodile would be like aligator (witch I love) back home but I REALLY didn't care for it. If your not sure if your up for wild game there are the standard fares. See the fist pic for the menu. All for $40 plus TIP and drinks. | | |
