My stay in Kenya was really a prolonged layover. In my brief time there I learned two things; the crime rate is unimaginable, so take a taxi dont walk and a dinner at "The Carnivore" restaurant is a must..

As if the staff with their scewers of meat , trays of drinks, and numerous stories are not enough entertainment they bring in locals to play music (mostly drums) and perform tribal dances.

The food is far from gourmet, But is simple and very good. The meats are cooked over a open flame pit. The skewers are taken off and the waiters bring them over and caeve off what you want. The game menu changes daily so I'm not sure a recommendation will do any good. but just incase, the heart beast and zebra are both very good. i thought the crocodile would be like aligator (witch I love) back home but I REALLY didn't care for it. If your not sure if your up for wild game there are the standard fares. See the fist pic for the menu. All for $40 plus TIP and drinks.
