The Unseen Beauty

One thing that really gets me excited is going skiing or boarding. The reason being that not many travellers get to see the basin of a mountain.

If you can put up with the cold then I suggest you go skiing or boarding.

To see the beautiful mountain range of Banff was simply breathtaking.

As you travel in your chairlift high up in the air you can see all around. The thing is though, from the town or city area you just can not see this hidden beauty that lies deep inside the mountain.

Now I enjoy skiing and boarding for what it is but I also enjoy the scenery and the feeling of being on top of the world that hits you when you are up in the mountains.

The snow covered runs adds its own beauty to what is already an amazing view.

Walk Alone

The more experience Skiers decided to go HeliSkiing one day so I took this opportunity to go and explore Banff.
.
Once I got pass the main strreets I found myself wondering down a snow covered treeline path that took me to this beautiful ice lake that you see in my photo. I spent an hour or so there in pure solitude simply enjoying the natural beauty of this particular spot..
