The early days

Hi I'm Sinead from Dublin, Ireland. When I was a kid the furthest I travelled was to Wexford in the south of ireland. Then I joined the girl guides and a whole new world opened up for me. At first we visited placesd like Wicklow, Wexfordc and Galway but then we spread our wings and visited Scotland, France and Switzerland. By the time I was 17 I was hooked by the travel bug.

The early college years

When I went to college I went to the Institute of Technology in Tallaght all of four miles from my home .... I didn't travel very far really. Just up and down to wexford and the odd trip to Hull, England to visit my sister who went to Uni there and a few class trips to Galway. Then in my third year I met Orla & the gang and my travels once again commenced, even if it was only to Wexford at first.

The Orlikins years

I met my friend Orla (VT memebr Orlikins) in 1998 and she has been the inspiration behind many of my more unusual travel locations. It was Orlas idea to visit Prague, Helsinki, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

Recent travels

Last September I visited Spain for the first time. I visited Madrid and Salamanca. I had a native Spainish person as a guide and host (thanks Enrique) and managed to see some of the real Spain. I am planning on going to Canada next year, so fingers crossed. Canada will b e expensive so no big holiday this year but i will take some weekends away within Ireland to places like Kinsale, Co Cork and Kerry. Also need to squeeze in a trip up North to Donegal/Belfast to visti a friend and a trip across the waters to visit my sister in England.
