| Awesome sunsets behind Negros mountains |
|  | Siquijor of all places! When my good friend (VT'er Zealander) and his gorgeous wife invited me to join them for a break on the Visayas, I didn't doubt for a second. I was north of Manila at that moment and asked them where to go to. "Siquijor" appeared on my cell phone display.
I had never heard of it and so browsed a little here on VT but no more than 2 tips appeared, and anyone else than me might have assumed that Siquijor is not the place to be of all choices! Phillipinas I spoke to thought I was a bit mad to spend my just 1 week holiday on a small island that appears to be country wide known for its "black magic" practisers, and not for any tourist attraction like those so heavily promoted elsewhere in the region. |
But as I expected, it was a great choice! We found a nice (dive) resort to stay and enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, excellent snorkelling, diving, eating, drinking, relaxing and before we got a chance to get bored we hired a minivan and toured the island only to discover how beautiful it is and how nice the local people are! |

Great page on the wonderful Siquijor Island ! Btw, it is not easy to obtain the B$20, my relative at Brunei only managed to get hold of one for herself when I was there :) |
