A guided trek to the Mentawai

On the island of Siberut, 9 hours off Sumateras eastcoast from Padang, there's still a small population of people who maintain their primitive jungle lifestyle. We stayed at 4 umas(clanhouses) during our 10 day trek from Bukittinggi.
The credit for these pics are for Kristine, Patrick & Linda whom I'm very thankful to since my camera and film were stolen later.

Amazing picture Peter, it looks like something out of Papua New Guinea! Too bad your camera was stolen, I would have loved to have seen more of this remote spot!

WOW! You actually went to se the Mentawi? There is a guy in Vt who takes people on boat cruises in the area. His nick is indoguy.
