Romantic Rhine castles A must see in Stolzenfels near Koblenz is the beautiful castle over the Rhineriver. It is very romantic with a lot of old furniture inside. Stolzenfels was in ruins 1823. It was rebuild 1836 - 1842 by the architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel and Friedrich August Stüler.
It should be opened Easter until September 30th 10am to 6 pm.
October and November and January to Eastern 10 am to 5 pm.
From the village Stolzenfels it is in a walking distance (10 minutes - You have to climb a small mountain). |
