This was the shortest, fastest and MOST memorable trip we have made so far. I had been working too much and needed a little break so I suggested a trip to Randleman, North Carolina, to see the Richard Petty museum. Richard Petty, for those not familiar with auto racing in the U.S., is known as one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history. Now, I’m not the racing nut in our house, she is, but I thought this trip would be good for us both. It turned out that she had a wedding to cater and a long trip was out of question so I planned two days to drive down, one to visit the museum and surrounding area, and one to drive back. A short and simple bit of exploration. It turned out to be much more than I had planned and in a very good way.
