Sister Esthers/Women of encouragement.

Myself and Lily Negeon are enjoying the beautiful garden, rest area before we venture into the great unknown. Lookout points and park facilities, including campgrounds and lodging, are located on the North Rim and South Rim of the canyon. The canyon's highest accessible spot, Point Imperial, is on the North Rim 8,803 ft (2,680 m) above sea level. On the South it's Bright Angel Points also offer superb views of the canyon. The South Rim, from 1,000 to 2,000 ft (300 to 600 m) lower in elevation than the North rim is the main tourist area.

Leave things as they are.

Trips into the canyon are made in several ways. The most popular trails are Bright Angel Trail, which descends from the South Rim, and there's Kaibab Trail the one we took. which links the North and South Rims.

The Canyon at a different location

The Canyon are forever changing, the rock strata (layers) of the Grand Canyon show about 2 billion years of the earth's geologic history. Towering, carved formations of limestone, sandstone, and shale rise from the canyon floor. The strata vary in color and display different hues throughout the day as the sunlight changes.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:You can take a mule ride down the Canyon.
  • Cons:Or you can walk 7 hours down, with 35 lb. of supply on your back plus 6 liter of water.
  • In a nutshell:Just take the river raft trip down the Colorado River that's more an exciting way to see the canyons.
