Poland's Must See

by gale.blog.pl - last update: Jun 18, 2006

I don't really know what's so special about Kazimierz Dolny nad Wisla. Is it the atmosphere of a small yet extremely friendly town or are those the lovely views of old granaries? The special market square? The shops and galleries?
The history of Kazimierz dates back to 11th century!

In 14th century Kazimierz was granted municipality. Then at the beginning of 15th century market square was marked together with the first streets.

What you see in this picture is a house built in 1625. It is still full of life and very comfortable.

GREAT page!! Your efforts have paid off. We had dinner in Green Rest. loved it. Missed the waterfront ... would love to return to it. It was SO cold when I was there. Your pics from top of hill are wonderful.

Lovely pictures and so many tips for a small town. I only had enough time to spend one day there.

Very good shopping, accommodation and restaurant tips - Cafe Factoria is a must for me, now :-) Good suggestions and pictures as well. I didn't meet any Gypsy women there (twice) but... you are more up-to-date, right?
