Here you'll be able to see one of the most important relicts of antique Greek architecture. The theatre was built in 4th century B.C. and is famous for it's unique accoustics.
It is still in use: from June to August the Athens Festival is taking place there. You can watch a show on Friday or Saturday night.
The theater is just a part of the ancient Asklepios Sanctuary. The Sanctuary itself is now totally ruined and what was worth seing is now placed in a nearby museum. |
