Dinosaur Valley State Park is a really cool place to go if your into the whole nature thing. It's a huge park where camping, picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and wildlife observation are just some of the things you can enjoy doing there. There's also the Paluxy river that flows through the park, not only providing a place to swim but also to see dinosaur tracks preserved in the riverbed from over 100 million years ago.
If you look close you can see some dinosaur tracks that have been preserved in the riverbed. It's a really cool feeling knowing that you are walking where dinosaurs once roamed.
The dinosaur tracks are located in the riverbed, so call ahead to check on river conditions so the tracks can be observed. There are also two fiberglass dinosaur models; a 70-foot Apatosaurus and a 45-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex. Stop at the visitor's center at the entrance to get all the information you need to adequately explore the park.
Dinosaur Valley State Park
Unforntunately I got a flat tire on my way to the center which delayed me a few hours . So anyways, I was unable to get to the center in time to share my own experiences. However, I could still see a little from the country road leading to the park and have had many friends and family visit the establishment who loved it. The center holds several endangered species and many exotic animals. Rhino's, zebra's, cheetahs, etc. Sorry I can't tell you anymore, but the link below should provide you with all the information you need
