"Color Contrasts" Arches National Park by caffeine_induced78
Arches National Park Travel Guide: 609 reviews and 1,552 photos
I didn't know what to expect. People have waxed poetically to me about the arches and the landscape but something grabbed me more than anything else. Imagine the sky as blue as the ocean, the red of the soil and rock gasping for water, the green shrubs hording it voraciuosly, and the snow looks so pure and white that you could well..... ummmm.... snort it?
I am planning on bringing VT member Roz.van to this wonderful park in March before heading to the green State of Oregon. From wonderful reds to wonderful greens. I am sure that this place will take her breath away.
- Pros:A photographers dream
- Cons:gets very crowded and hot in the summer

Bring back memories. SL
Loved the rock formations & window picture Good page
I'm glad to see your national park count growing. I wish Arches had a little more wildlife but you can't beat the formations under the right sunlight.
I agree ... Arches is a most colorful place!
Those walls and rock formations were just amazing. Great desciptions in your tips.
Pithy description of Arches. Not the expected Intro photo. Like your style. Will be back to read...and learn more.
Arches is one of my favorites... the southern third of Utah is , in my view, the most spectacular part of the country. Period.
Looks fantastic - will get there some day!
What an amazing and beautiful place!
Glad to be the first to walk through your Arches NP.
