This is my page for the Centennial state - so named because it was formed in 1876. Originally it was named the Jefferson Territory, a name I would rather it stayed. With over 1000 peaks over 10,000 feet in elevation, this is a mountain climbers dream. It is one of the fastest growing states in the Union and thus contains a large number of emmigrants from other states. My plan with this page is to focus on the history of Colorado, from the Mesa Verde Indians, through the Railroads, to the legalizing of gambling in the old mining towns. Welcome to Colorado! |
