"Montagnana is a gate in time" Montagnana by Elweb

For 31 years I was convinced that Sighisoara was the only medieval city in Europe with inhabitants. That until I’ve visited Montagnana. Too bad my internet connection is so poor here, I could have uploaded the movies I made, filming from the back of the moto while we were going around the city walls. Magnificent! Entering trough the gate made me want to loose everything and just stay there and admire what people can build with the limited knowledge they had at that time of history. On the interior of the walls can still be seen original paintings, part of them washed away by time, but still beautiful to watch. In the few hours we stayed there we have managed to make a trip around the inner city and outer city, but no more, unfortunately. Our eyes were quickly trapped by the military museum, closed in one of the town towers. Than, the horse riding contest, and, looking at those two we suddenly realized that time really flies and we had to return home. But, I have promices myself that someday I will make time to visit Montagnana again. It would be a shame to miss it.
