Hi all!! found this site by coincidence and looks like it's a great community, so I decided to be part of it and welcome anyone who's coming to Munich, Germany to have a great time. I am living for now here, but I come originally from South America, I was born in Peru. Spent most on my life after high school living and travelling abroad, from backpacking the Inca Trails, living a year in Chile, traveling to Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia and Colombia in South America to spending my senior year of high school in NY, and going to college in Pennsylvania and Texas; to most of the countries in Western Europe, including two years in London, where I was again studing, and two in Munich, so any question related to these places or if you need some free accomodation for some days in Peru or Chile just let me know! If you are coming to Munich make sure you get ready for some serious beer drinking, even girls here drink 1litter glasses!! It's all very much fun and part of the Bavarian tradition, Munich is a party town and a good base to get to know other places like Vienna, Salzburg and the Alps. Prag and Venice also are quite close. There is a large international population living in Munich mainly because the living conditions and professional opportunities are the best in Germany. There are lots of technology companies here and that's why I came (I work doing marketing at Intel, you know, the Pentium microchips inside your computer). On my free time I am much into digital photography (I've taken more than 15,000 pictures in the last year!!) and music, mixing and Djing, although the last one was consecuence of a series of parties that I organized with my best friend from Chile here in Munich!! it was a blast!! check out www.latinpartys.com :)
If you are moving to Munich it's good to know that it's easier to find a job than to find an appartment! seriously.
