"Joplin West And Downtown" West Joplin by Sky3News

West Joplin Travel Guide: 0 reviews and 0 photos

I've lived in West Joplin for all my life, and have seen many changes and improvements. Although the city is expanding east, the west side is the historic side with many buildings built in the late 1700s and early 1800s and my house was one built in the late 1800s. The city is divided into sections - northwest is the 1700-1800s side, the immediate west is the mid-late 1800s area, and the southwest area is mid 1900s to late 1990s.
The east side is the most modern side of town, ranging from the 1950s to the 2000s.

Downtown Joplin

This area will soon contain more valid information about historic downtown Joplin. You see, at this time, the city has started a series of renovation projects and so I will bring you up-to-date information on these projects as they progress.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:The neighborhoods and schools are very nice.
  • Cons:The city is beginning to forget about the west side as they go east.
  • In a nutshell:A little big bigger and better than you may think!
