I grew up in a small town in farm country in Michigan. Since then, I've lived in large towns, small cities, large cities...but I finally found "home" when I moved to Washtenaw County.

Ann Arbor has been the most delightful town to explore! The first thing I noticed was how polite & friendly most people are. You can wear any style of clothing, because nothing is out of the ordinary, lol! The city is also a book-lover's delight, with lots of used bookstores, a discount bookstore with quality stock, and stores specializing in everything from witchcraft to comic books.

Ypsilanti has some great areas, too, and it's only 20 minutes from AA. Try Depot Town for dining, then stroll through the parks less than 2 blocks away. Then, go from one park to the next via the wooden foot bridges over the Huron River. Oh, yes, you can always stop to swing in the play area. <grin>
