vulcanos, beaches, rain forest, astronomy ... |
| | the whole island is a biosphere reserve since 2002 |
the whole island is vulcanic. the form of the island is not because a big crater as it was thought, but the result of the fallen of the top part of a sum of vulcanos
the main north part of this group of vulcanos have now a semicircular form, called "la cresteria" where the principal peaks are
the "barranco de las angustias" (anguish canyon) was born because of the throst of the vulanos fallen in direction to the sea
in the southern part of this group remains "la cumbrecit"("the little peak") where you have a splendid view of the "caldera" as its call in spanish because it has the form of a cauldron | | |
