    • A short train ride outside of central London, this is a glorious, rambling red-brick palace complex...supposedly haunted to this day by a wandering and tormented ghostie or two, maybe one of Henry's wives...aaaw crap! I was there on a chilly Nov day, but wasn't fortunate enough to run into any spirits...hopefully you fare better and return to London and your homeland with tales of the encounter...

    • and there you have charming, atmospheric DOVER...a very cool coastal town which features the famous White Cliffs you see behind me here...it's also a good port from which to take a ferry across to France, if you like...and why the hell wouldn't you like, really...;-D

    • located on London's SOUTH side, this is another museum which you should not miss...lots of original aircraft, artillery, weaponry, uniforms, and a myriad of other exhibits which will interest anyone with a fascination for the darker side of British and world history. Tube stations: Lambeth North or Elephant and Castle.

    • this makes a nice daytrip out of London...WINDSOR CASTLE...you can see the royal apartments and chapel, and wander the quaint shops and restaurants in the village itself...
