    • Favorite Thing: See these pilfered treasures at the British Museum at a much better angle than you could ever see them if they were still attached to their original foundations back in Greece...which is not to say they should not be returned there one day...hmmmm....

    Fondest Memory: Seeing these stunning bits from the actual Parthenon, having just come from the very Acropolis itself the previous day! Very cool, indeed!

    • Favorite Thing: For paintings, you want the Victoria and Albert, the **old** Tate Gallery, and the National Gallery, but for natural history and archeology, this place is **IT.** Here's that Parthenon Gallery you've heard so much about, full of sculptures and friezes from the, mmmm, Parthenon.

    • Favorite Thing: you can usually get a decent view of the Queen's guard during the traditional Changing of the Guard ceremonies which take place every other morning in front of Buckingham Palace...but for something more than *average* try to be here on, say, the day the Queen's birthday is officially celebrated...we lucked out in Jun'00 and happened upon the Mall on Trooping the Colours Day...all the primary Royals but for the two Young Princes showed up as well, it was very cool...

    • Fondest Memory: ...it's a shame though, that the Queen wasn't there at the front gate at Buckingham Palace to welcome us, this May morning in 1996. Afterall, we'd come so very far and Mom does like tea so very much...
