Barcelona's main thoroughfare Looking northwards up las Ramblas from the top of the Christopher Columbus monument...this is surely the street on which to do your people-watching! All sorts of shops and restaurants and street performers and tourists are here, but you know where there are crowds so are there pickpockets and other troublemakers. Just keep your belongings close to you, keep all of your eyes open, and you should do just fine! |
| The streets of SF, Catalunia-style! |
| | After a miserable first afternoon in BCN, running around, trying to replace my left-at-home plane ticket to Paris, ending up with a spot on the Sun night overnight train there...my 2nd day in town was right out of a storybook or film script. A personally-guided stroll around town, a seaside lunch, and this hike up to the remarkable Parc Guell, who could ask for anything more??? |
| | did somebody say they needed to buy a chicken? well, here you go...right along the central median-of-life on Barcelona's Ramblas! |

mrjemm Thu Oct 28, 2004 03:57 UTC I went to Parc in the heat, that hike put me in a foul mood. I'll have my new BCN pics up very soon. Jem | gilabrand Mon Jun 21, 2004 09:20 UTC You are 100% right about Sagrada de Familia (although it's not "in" to say so). I liked your comments on my page. | deecat Sat Dec 20, 2003 02:13 UTC Honest narration with enough personal flavor to make it great.
