| | It's the 21st century not the 16th, so the days of bullfights and public executions on the Plaza are long gone. But you will still enjoy the spirited atmosphere, no doubt about that. Wander around Plaza Mayor early enough in the morning, when the shopkeepers and restauranteurs are just setting up for the day, and you almost have the arena to yourself. Notice the wonderful allegorical murals on the wall under the clocktower. You're on your own movie set here...(you're the director, you're the star, you choose the film...) |

Paul2001 Wed Apr 6, 2005 02:27 UTC There are snakes in Madrid? Very good page with amusing commentary. | OrlandoBR Wed Mar 2, 2005 20:40 UTC Not sure it was the same place, but my father tried one of these paella-for-tourists restaurants and hated it! Lucky me, I was buying CDs at the Fnac nearby... | garridogal Sun Aug 8, 2004 02:27 UTC Glad you enjoyed my Lizze stuff! It was a fun day trip and an interesting slice of history! | pigletsmom Fri Feb 20, 2004 23:16 UTC Nice photos and intriguing descriptions. Need to get myself to Madrid someday. |
