Fondest Memory: Another in a growing list of Favorite Memories of Paris: our hike up the tiny, winding, stone staircases here at the towers of Notre Dame Cathedral. Yes, there are over 300 of these cramped, little steps to contend with on your trek up (and back down...,) but ohhhhh! the views of the city from the top are spectacular!

Fondest Memory: Paris was made for walking and exploring and finding your own little corner to enjoy in your way. Even along the busy Seine, you can block out the world and lose yourself in your book, as this lucky gentleman did here...

Fondest Memory: Flowers in bloom aren't necessary in order to enjoy the gardens here at Musee Rodin. Inside, of course, you find some wonderful sculptures by the artist and his contemporaries; outside, you may wander the paths and marvel at some truly fab neighborhood architecture!

Favorite Thing: first of all, stay in a hotel in the 1st arr, near the Louvre and the Tuilleries Gardens. Then be walking back to your place just as the waning sun is casting its last golden pinky rays across the *ciel*...the resulting display of painterly colors behind the Tuilleries ferris wheel...aaaah, can one describe this as *romantic*? I think so...
