"Brechin - The Cathedral City" Brechin by jungleboy

This is the main street in Brechin and is the site of a once vibrant Market that served the local community for years. Brechin is an ancient city and was established by monks around 990AD when a college was built.

The Cathedral and round tower

The Cathedral and round tower are quite an impressive sight and have a lot of history as does Brechin itself. The round tower which you can see behind the cathedral is actually free standing and is around a 1000 years old. There is only one other round tower on mainland Scotland.
