The main entrance into the citadel - Sighisoara

I had heard so much about Sighisoara that i really needed to visit this place. Besides, just the name Sighisoara would have been enough for me to go there. I love the sounds of the name.

Anyway, i did get there. And although the citadel was smaller then i had imagined it, i still didn't have enough time to visit all of the place in 2 days. But that had more to do with me getting sidetracked then that it isn't doable in a busy half a day.

We had gorgeous weather even though it was late autumn so i have to say we did spend a bit of our time on terraces and in other places were soaking up the sun is the main thing to do.

That said i must admit we had a great time exploring the citadel and especially walking alongside the wall and finding all the towers when we finally made it to the citadel on our 2nd day.

We ended up here twice. The pizza's were good but i must say teh ciorba's were even better. Then again, i'm a great fan... more travel advice

Hey Sandra, good page on Sighisoara or steggysawra (as I have heard tourists pronounce) hope Mongolia is exciting.
