Mill alongside the train tracks - Netherlands

Since i don't have a car anymore, i travel most of the distances by train nowadays. And as always when i'm planning to leave the Netherlands for a while, i find that i appreciate it much more. But this time, i'm equiped with a digital camera....

These shots were made during the summer (2003) traveling from the Hague to Den Bosch via Utrecht.

And i love travel by train. Unless i'm really tired and have to sit in an overly crowded one.. But for the rest.. the longer the distance, the better.. I like the sense of movement. the adventure, the people you meet along the way.... So the travelogues will mostly be dedicated to pictures i took while train-ing through the Netherlands.. I hope you'll enjoy them and that it'll give you a good impression of this extremely flat country.. I know i'll enjoy them every once and a while when i'm traveling..

Did i mention that the pictures on this page were taken in summer 2003. Europe was suffering a heat wave of unknown proportions. In the Netherlands it was said that the it hadn't been this dry before. And then look at the adjacent picture... i think it will be a while before we run out of water....
