"A royal town" Dreux by Mique

Until recently i had never heard of Dreux. And i certainly hadn't any plans of visiting this place. But on my drive back from the south of France to the Netherlands which i took at my ease i found Dreaux a convenient stop for the night. And from my hotel there wqs this old all visible on the hill.

Since i'm not of a curious nature i asked the people in the hotel. They couldn't really help me out but they thought it was some sort of old castle wall. Well, in case of incertainty.. explore for yourself..

It turned out that Dreux has the Royal Chapel. The place where France's last king and queen are buried and where their decendatns are entombed even today

this part of the town is very beautiful, but we must not forget that most of the city and its suburbs nowadays look like the suburbs of baghdad , and have a very bad reputation
