Fougeres is one of those places i want to go back to. Just to confirm if the image i have in my mind is still true. It is one of those medieval towns with cobblestones everywhere. A huge castle and fortifications Amazing.
I remember it as having a very old quarter, a belfry, a nice market place. It is one of those places where when it´s dark, you feel like you´ve gone back in time...
And i´m not the only one to have appreciated it. Chateaubriand, Victor Hugo and Balzac have visited Fougeres in their time.. |
