The highest stand 79m,highest speed 130km/h, the whole ride takes about 3.36minutes. The length is 2045m. Entrance fees is 1000yen/ride.

(This pic was taken at Hotel Highland Resort where we went to have lunch, after visiting Mt Fuji 5th station)

So very cloudy on the day I visit. *sigh*

Couldn't see Mt Fuji at all!

Hakone Trip Summary

We took a one-day tour from Sunrise Tours (http://www.jtb.co.jp/sunrisetour/), that have pickups from major hotels.

It's not cheap at 15,000 yen per adult, including lunch, but it is our first time, after all!

We went there by a very comfortable coach, and come back by Shinkansen (Bullet Train), at Odawara Station.

Journey from Tokyo to base of Mt Fuji took us around 1hr and 45 mins. From the Base to the 5th station it is another 45mins - 1 hr.

We were given an hour at the 5th station, before proceeding the Hotel Highland Resort for lunch. Then at 3pm, it's off to Lake Ashi for a cruise. We were at the Odawara station to board Shinkansen by 5pm (we were luckily due to lack of traffic, otherwise it;d taken an hour more!)
