Hub of Activity

Normally our travels take us through Encino's 'West side'; a quick entry past the cemetery on NM 3, over the railroad tracks, left on US 285 and we are outta there. A recent trip had us driving into town and stopping for breakfast. We shot this picture of one of the two hubs of acitivity-the US Post Office in the center of town, with the village park just beyond.
Encino Village Park

Village Park

Great Stop! Friendly folks! We stopped here for a mid-morning breakfast (we carried our own). During the heat of the summer, that canopy will be very, very welcome. No water, no restrooms, but everything sure was first class and clean.
