Restaurant Name: we ate at a few places
we were in amsterdam for thanksgiving which means absolutly nothing to the dutch, meaning no turkey!! so we settled on a nice looking argentinian steak house, which turned out to be very nice..we ordered a meat grill which had about 4 different steaks, lamb chops, ribs, sausage, corn, salad, and a baked potato.. over all good restaurant, there are 100's of these types of restaurants.
Favorite Dish: we only had the meat platter, but the rest of the menu looked great!

Restaurant Name: hard rock cafe
the resaurant it's self is very large and in a great area as far as convenience, but thats everything in amsterdam to us. the service is a lot better than most places if your used to american style service. the food was always tasty ( we went twice ) we each had something different each time and each time enjoyed what we had.
Favorite Dish: we both were craving burgers the first time we went so we each had bbq burgers with fries and an apple cobbler for desert we also has some chicken spring rolls and i must say they were delicious. the second time i had the pasta bolonegse and my lady had the french dip, which was slightly dry..then apple cobbler for desert. overall if your craving some good old american grease go to the hard rock you'll enjoy.

Restaurant Name: tivoli
you would normally pass this place without thinking twice about stopping to eat here, but armed with good reccomendations from the famous blueberry we went in to give it a try. the atmosphere is kinda tacky, but it's not a bad looking place once you get inside off damrak.
Favorite Dish: i tried the veal in white wine sauce and was blown away by how great it was, it came with big potato wedges and a small salad. the veal was tender and very delicious! my fiance decided she wanted pizza so she got a 4 cheese pizza which was also very good. we also started out with some garlic bread which was the weirdest looking garlic bread ever, they came out in a small ramekin and each piece was round and covered in cheese then baked..very, very good! we ate here twice as well, the tiramisu is worth the visit alone...so take blueberry and myself's advise eat at tivoli's!!! this is the one place i forgot to take a picture of...ooops!

Restaurant Name: barneys breakfast bar and coffeeshop
the menu wasn't the biggest, but your in a coffeeshop expecting the best here is like wanting a filet mignon at burger king. i had the english breakfast which had eggs, toast, ham, potatos, and pancakes...it wasn't the best but for 6 euro not bad! we picked to come here before our flight at 11:00 am and since barney's opens earlier than most coffeeshops we had to have a goodbye smoke!!!
Favorite Dish: well i guess it would be the morning glory marijuana..it wasn't the best i smoked while in amsterdam, but it was better than anything back home!
