My mini phrase book When I travel, I try to learn at least some survival language rather than rely on English
The two essentials have to be "thank you " and "cheers" because tourists should always be polite and they should all be able to toast!
Here is the list of languages I have "mastered"
French : Merci/Sante
Spanish : Gracias/Salud
German : Danke/Prost
Italian : Grazi/Salute
Arabic : Bislama/Shrokran
Russian : Spasiba/ Na zd'rovye
Bulgarian : Blagodaria/Na zdrave
Romanian : Multumesc/Noroc
Hungarian : Koszonom/Egeszsegedre
Chinese : Xie xie/Ganbei
Tagalog : Salamat/Mabuhay |
