Getting TO/AROUND: Circular Quay is the nerve centre for Sydney Ferries and it is from this bustling ferry station that you get to 37 destinations throughout Sydney harbour and the Parramatta River.

I honestly cannot think of a better way to travel, and even if you're not travelling on a ferry, just standing along the quay and watching the dozens of ferries coming and going during the day and somehow missing each other is a memory I shall always cherish...

Because the ferries are used by so many people to commute to work each day, their prices are little more than what you would expect to pay for a bus and there are many exciting destinations such as the special trip to Taronga Zoo, trips to Manly, Watson's Bay and Darling Harbour.

This is a simply must do, as a trip to Sydney without going on the ferries would be incomplete!

To quote the Sydney Ferries Motto: "Getting there is half the fun"

Walking: Express Footway - Domain Car Park

Getting TO/AROUND: This is the travelator between the Domain Car Park and Hyde Park. It is a fantastic short cut if you're walking from Woolloomooloo (the suburb just E of the CBD and between the CBD and King's Cross) because as well as being about 300m long, it also takes you up the hill. It is warm in winter and dry when it's raining - call me lazy (well, OK I am - so what!?) but I use this every day to, er, 'walk' to work... :-)

The Artwork in the tunnel is called, somewhat unsurprisingly, 'tunnel vision' and is a mural running it's length which is a mixture of comtemporary and Aboriginal art forms.

The Woolloomooloo pedestrian/car entrance to the underground car park is through Sir John Young Crescent - just walk through the car exit and walk to the back and up the stairs.

The Hyde Park pedestrian entrance is on the NE corner of the park by Prince Albert Rd - there is another entrance on the other side of the road by St Mary's Cathedral. The other car entrance is behind St Mary's Cathedral on St Mary's Rd.

The car park itself is quite large and is also the home of Dollar car rentals. It is extremely easy to get to, being just off the Eastern distributor, which is one of the two main north/south routes in Sydney.

It is an excellent place to park for such sights as the Art Gallery of NSW, the Domain, St Mary's Cathedral (largest in Australia), Hyde Park and the Museum of Australia.
