Devonshire

Map of Devon
Devon is one of the most beautiful county's in England. Located on the South West Peninsula of England, Devon is (or was) the third biggest county in England and has a very varied landscape.

Many people travel through Devon on the way to Cornwall and don't stop, but you will find just as beautiful coastline and country villages and shops in Devon as you will do in Cornwall. At the end of the day both county's are quite special.

Devon's landscape includes miles of coastline on the North and South coasts. Beaches which are made up of soft pale sand (Exmouth) and others with large pepples (Budleigh Salterton). Rolling hillsides, estuary's, thatched cottages, meadows with village cricket teams, thousand year old towns, castles, one cathredral, a few abbeys and of course two of the UK's National Parks - Dartmoor and Exmoor.

What more do you need - I guess excellent Strawberries, Scones and Devon Clotted Cream (and I'm afraid that is something done better in Devon than in Cornwall!!).

It's me in Dartmouth!

Yep - I'm here in the flesh again!
This self portrait was taken in Dartmouth with a Yacht just behind me. Very good!

Devon is so pretty! When I visited Torquay it was mid summer madness, but very different from Torquay here, the home of many great surf labels. The countryside as shown in your pages is much more appealing.
