venice has been described in so many ways si won?t add to it.

a city that has truly been left to the tourists, it is a charming city due to the canals which connect it. aside from the romanticism though, it loses much of its appeal due to the absolute masses of tourists found here constantly. i must say though that we had limited time here so for the traveller with more time to truly explore, more interesting and less touristy places could surely be found.

it is attractive enough and definitely worth a visit but on the scale of cities in europe, i would rate it somewhat lower than the hype would suggest.

still, a few photos to prove it should still feature on any italian itinerary...
